About the Kilburn Library Garden Website

In one year, we’ve accomplished so much.
We cleared the garden of weeds, dug up one tonne of trash, cut down and wood chipped five trees, built two raised beds and three compost bins and even have our first fruit from our apple tree!
Now the garden is really starting to take shape. What will the next year bring?

The Garden is part of Kilburn Library and has been Created for library users and local people to enjoy.

The Aim of the project is to serve as a hub and advice centre for an emerging network of gardeners and horticulturists who see opportunities in developing their skills.

We are a community group and membership is free and open to everyone. We are hoping to transform the garden into a space that will benefit everyone and also provide a haven for wildlife.

The garden will provide a quiet space for Adults & Children to read in & enjoy the garden.

The garden is directly behind Kilburn Library in Salisbury Road. Until recently it remained mostly unused, and had become heavily overgrown. But now thanks to the probation service and "operation payback" it has now been cleared, and with the help & support of local volunteers it is gradually being transformed into a beautiful garden.
